If God promises: "I will not leave you nor forsake you" - why do people experience suffering, doubt and apparent distance from God? By Kai Mester
This video deals with one of the deepest questions of faith: Is God really there, even if we don't feel him? How do Hebrews 13:5, Isaiah 54:7, Psalm 22 and Jesus' cry on the cross fit together? Does God's silence mean that he has abandoned us - or is abandonment often a real experience, but not the ultimate reality?
We look at biblical promises such as Psalm 91, Romans 8:28 and Jeremiah 29:11 and ask: Are God's promises guarantees for a problem-free life? Or do they invite us to a deeper trust - especially in the midst of suffering?
The Bible shows: God sometimes saves from suffering, sometimes in suffering and sometimes through suffering. Even if not everything can be explained, the promise remains: God is good, his ways have a purpose, and he can turn everything to good.
This video aims to encourage us to trust God's closeness even when it seems hidden.
