God's plans are always the best. From Ellen White
If only everyone knew from their own experience how much promised heavenly peace the soul can already experience through sincere prayer! Those who have not learned this should put everything else in life on hold until they have learned this one thing in the school of Jesus.
As Christians, we need a new and lively experience every day. We need to learn how to trust Jesus, believe him and entrust everything to him. Jacob was a weak and flawed man. But through faith in God in prayer, he became a victor over God. He won by faith. God is all-powerful, man is limited. When we talk to God, we may reveal the greatest secrets of our heart to him - because he knows them all - but please not to man! ...
At the foot of the cross
Do not become careless and do not separate yourself from your source of strength! Watch your thoughts and words and seek to glorify God in everything! The closer you lie to the foot of the cross, the more clearly you will see Jesus' unique grace and the incomparable love he showed to fallen man ...
Under work stress
Don't let work-related stress separate you from God! Because especially when you have a lot to do, you need advice, clear foresight and brilliant ideas. Especially then, take time to pray so that you believe the head physician's advice more and trust him more unconditionally. Ask him for help! The more critical the work you have to do becomes, the more often you should pray! ...
Growing strong through patience, gratitude and loyalty
Man, who is depraved and lost in his natural state, can be renewed and saved through Jesus' kind help, which he offers him in the gospel. Jesus' love will drive out the enemy in the heart who wants to get people under his control. Every problem patiently endured, every blessing gratefully received, every temptation faithfully resisted will make you a strong person in Jesus Christ. All this grace can be obtained through the prayer of faith ...
The solitude of the mountains
Empower yourself with strength from above! Even Jesus withdrew to the solitude of the mountains and spent the night in prayer to his Father when he was preparing for a great test.
Disappointment as an answer to prayer
We do not always realize that the sanctification we long for so much and pray for so earnestly is only obtained through truth and - according to God's providence - in a way we least expect. Where we wait for joy, we experience sorrow. Where we hope for peace of mind, we often experience mistrust and doubt because we run into problems that we cannot avoid. But these very trials are the answer to prayer. In order to purify us, the fire of temptation must burn around us. Our will must be brought into harmony with God's will. In order to be transformed into the image of our Savior, we go through an extremely painful refining process. Our loved ones on earth can cause us the deepest sorrow and the greatest worries. They may see us in the wrong light, thinking we are in error, deceiving and humiliating ourselves because we follow the commands of an enlightened conscience and search for truth as for treasure ...
God is more considerate than we think
Our prayers for our transformation into the image of Jesus may not be answered exactly as we imagine. We are tested and tried. For God considers it best to raise us in the way we need to be in order to receive the blessings we long for. We should not be discouraged, nor should we doubt or think that our prayers will go unnoticed. Let us rely even more on Jesus and leave it to God to answer our prayers in His way! God has not promised that he will send his blessings to us in the ways we have chosen. God is too wise to err and too considerate to leave that choice up to us. God's plans are always the best, even if we don't always realize it. The perfection of Christian character can only be attained through work, conflict and self-denial ...
